Ja'Kesha Bowens is a licensed professional counselor associate (LPCA) supervised by Karla Sweet MS, NCC, LPC-S. She is also a nationally certified and licensed chemical dependency counselor intern (CDCI).

Driven by compassion and a commitment to culturally sensitive therapy, Ja'Kesha's mission is to empower the BIPOC community, adolescents, young adults, and adults. Her approach centers on creating a safe and inclusive space for clients to explore their identities, navigate challenges, and embrace their authentic selves.

As an African-American therapist, Ja'Kesha understands the unique experiences of people from diverse backgrounds. She integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), humanistic therapy, and holistic approaches to tailor sessions to each client's needs. Together, they explore thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors to foster self-awareness and develop effective coping mechanisms. Through a person-centered approach, she supports clients in discovering their inner strengths and resilience.

Ja'Kesha specializes in serving clients facing racial trauma, identity development, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Whether navigating relationships, careers, or personal growth, she walks alongside clients on their journey toward healing and empowerment.

  • Out of Network (Able to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.)
